Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

Aug 29, 2018

It's that time of year! This October, the Kiwanis family will again collect donations through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.

Trick-or-Treat is a great way for Kiwanis-family members of all ages to raise money for The Eliminate Project.* For less than the cost of a pumpkin-spice latte, you can protect a mother and her future newborns from maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF can be so much more than going door-to door on Halloween. The project allows for lots of fun and creative fundraising ideas. Look at our list of seasonal fundraisers, which your club could share with your sponsored SLP club, or work with them to create their own unique fundraiser.

No matter the fundraiser, make sure you or your sponsored SLP uses the iconic Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF orange boxes, which you can order for free from the Kiwanis store.

This year, we have a new website where you can order boxes and find links to useful resources. For all the essential information, check out our "What You Need to Know" sheet. And for the younger kiddos, take a look at our sample scripts that can help kids talk about The Eliminate Project.

And once your spectacular Trick-or-Treat fundraiser is complete, don't forget to remind your SLP to submit the money so mothers and babies around the world can be protected against MNT. It's important to send donations directly to the Kiwanis Children's Fund, so they are credited to the appropriate club. Find more details here.

Plus, clubs that raise and submit more than US$250 by December 31, 2018, will receive special banner patches!
