Giving thanks

Nov 23, 2016
In 2016, the generosity of donors has changed lives. That’s because gifts have helped the Kiwanis Children’s Fund award grants to support Kiwanis-family programs around the world. Because Kiwanians gave, kids in Ticonderoga, New York, receive nutritious food to eat. Kids in Metairie, Louisiana, develop a passion for reading. And students in Nyamongo, Uganda, attend class in an environment conducive to learning.
Of course, there’s also the worldwide impact of The Eliminate Project: Women in remote areas receive lifesaving immunizations because Kiwanians give. As a result, millions of babies are born tetanus-free. In fact, we hope to celebrate another victory over maternal and neonatal tetanus in Equatorial Guinea. Earlier this year, a validation survey was conducted to determine whether MNT has been eliminated in every district of the country, and we hope to hear the official results soon.
For these and many other reasons, we are thankful for the support of our volunteers, club and individual donors, and advocates. Whether you give your time, donate financially, or both, you make a difference.

As you gather with family and friends to express thanks, remember that you are helping Kiwanis change the world—one child at a time. On behalf of all the children whose lives you’ve made better . . .  thank you.

Yours in service,
The Kiwanis Children’s Fund team
