Year-end planned gift options that may be right for you

Nov 21, 2016
The season of giving is upon us. In coming weeks, people will give thanks and gifts to families and friends. Some will also give to children in need.
Consider a year-end planned gift this holiday season. It’s the perfect way to extend your Kiwanis impact—by giving the gift of a better future to kids around the world.

You can tailor the gift to fit your personal financial needs. The Kiwanis Children’s Fund has a number of planned gift options that may be right for you:

  • Bequest. The most common planned gift, a bequest includes the Kiwanis Children’s Fund as a beneficiary in your will or trust.
  • Life insurance policy. If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer a significant piece of your estate plan, you might consider making a gift by assigning ownership to the Kiwanis Children’s Fund or making our organization the beneficiary.
  • Charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust. With a charitable gift annuity or a charitable remainder trust, you can even make a gift that will provide you with continuing income.
The Kiwanis Children’s Fund can work with you to determine a gift that makes sense for you and your family.
