In honor of the many students going back to school this month, we are proud to introduce one of our six 2015–16 scholarship recipients. Keep an eye out for more scholarship recipients’ stories in the coming weeks as we celebrate these outstanding students.
Hanna Nichols received the 2016 Linda Canaday Memorial Scholarship. Hanna recently completed her term as 2015–16 Key Club International governor of the New York District. During her tenure as governor, Hanna facilitated initiatives that prompted the New York District to complete 92,000 service hours. She now attends Syracuse University in New York and is pursuing a degree in policy studies.

The Linda Canaday Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of the 2008–09 Kiwanis International First Lady, a former teacher and longtime Kiwanis club member. Awarded each year to an outstanding Key Club member, the scholarship memorializes Linda’s love of children, which she demonstrated through her teaching and the compassion she shared with children through Kiwanis.
