Your gifts make centennial playgrounds a reality
Aug 06, 2014
In 2015, Kiwanis International will
celebrate 100 years of service
. The anniversary will be marked with a variety of events, including a Centennial Tour during which 2014–15 Kiwanis International President John Button will visit 12 Kiwanis districts throughout the world. Thanks to a generous grant from the Kiwanis International Foundation, the president will join Kiwanians in these districts in building playgrounds as a lasting legacy of this milestone anniversary.
The districts building playgrounds are currently in the fundraising period of the campaign and are grateful that our foundation's grant will greatly reduce the costs of their playgrounds. The playgrounds are being designed and developed with Kiwanis Vision Partner Landscape Structures; in fact, they've created
centennial playgrounds
especially for the anniversary year, with each design featuring the Kiwanis logo to illustrate Kiwanians' commitment to serve children locally and raise the profile of local Kiwanis clubs in each community.
As part of the Kiwanis Centennial Tour, these playgrounds will encourage communities to join the celebration of Kiwanis’ rich history of serving children—by providing clean, safe havens for family play. This project is yet another way that a gift to the Kiwanis International Foundation extends your impact. Explore our website to learn more about the foundation and
