Chian, Chu-Ching, Taichung City, Taiwan

A happy Kiwanian for over 2 decades. I have a son, a daughter and a grandson.
My mother joined Kiwanis at the age of 92 while I served as the Taiwan District treasurer. She passed away at the age of 103. Her philanthropic actions keep encouraging me and remind me to serve and give as much as I can.

Why did you decide to run for office?

Kiwanis is a great organization. It’s the only international organization I joined in my life. I want to extend my Kiwanis service by using my Kiwanis experience. Uplifting the Kiwanis Asia-Pacific region to a higher level is always on my mind.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?

Having been a member for two decades, the passion of serving and sharing is the best qualification I have to run for this position. The Kiwanis Asia-Pacific region and especially Taiwan, the largest district in the Kiwanis world, hold the secret to recruiting and retaining members.

How will you leave your mark on Kiwanis?

I will shorten the distance between the Kiwanis Asia-Pacific region and Kiwanis International and create a win-win situation so that we can expand Kiwanis to more countries in the world.
