Today is the big day! Halloween is a key moment for those involved with Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. Kiwanis-family members of all ages will collect coins instead of candy. And once again, funds raised by the Kiwanis family will support The Eliminate Project.

In fact, our fundraising will help UNICEF carry out several important maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) immunization activities in countries like Yemen and Sudan.

To help demonstrate the impact of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, we crunched some numbers:
  • Nearly 190,000 collection boxes were delivered this year.
  • More than US$2.9 million has been raised since 2011.
  • Nearly $600,000 was raised in 2015 alone.
Let’s make this year the best one yet! It’s not too late to get involved. Download the canister wrapper and a sample speech to collect funds door-to-door.

When it comes to eliminating tetanus, a little goes a long way. You can help save a life this Halloween. Whether you collect donations door-to-door or through an event, the funds you and your club raise through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF will mean a world of difference for mothers and their future babies.

Have a spook-tacular Halloween and stay safe!
