We begin the new Kiwanis year with our goal in sight. The Eliminate Project has raised more than US$64.9 million in paid gifts—nearly 60 percent of our fundraising goal.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Fulfilling our promise to protect millions of newborns’ lives—and millions of mothers from broken hearts—depends on the passion and hard work of every member of the Kiwanis family. We need everyone working to fulfill pledges so we can finish the fight.

Here are some tips to increase fundraising and make 2016–17 the best year yet:

Review your plan of action. Has your club made a pledge? Discuss how you will raise the remaining funds to achieve your goal. It helps to develop a timeline and set benchmarks. Contact our office for help at 1-800-KIWANIS, ext. 213 (U.S. and Canada), or +1-317-217-6213 (worldwide).

Save more lives. Many clubs and individuals have completed their commitments to The Eliminate Project. If you are among this group—or close to fulfilling your pledge—consider saving more moms and babies with another gift.

Plan your next fundraiser. Try one of these ideas, or come up with your own. And make sure to share photos after the event. Tag us on Facebook, or email photos to campaign@TheEliminateProject.org.

Inspire your club. Share the monthly elimination updates with your fellow Kiwanis members. These updates include recent progress from the field as well as upcoming vaccination campaigns.

On behalf of families around the world, thank you for the continued support. Kiwanis is changing the world because of your generosity.
