Keeping families whole through The Eliminate Project

The Eliminate Project

In 2010, we made a commitment. Now we’re on the verge of making history. As 2015 approaches, it’s time to make The Eliminate Project a unified effort. As of September 2, 2014, the Kiwanis family has raised more than US$69.4 million in cash and pledges. These funds, which include a recent US$7.2 million commitment from our partner at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, will help save or protect 38.6 million women and babies from maternal and neonatal tetanus.

By choosing to serve the poorest of the poor, Kiwanis is sending a loud message—that these women matter, and their babies deserve to achieve their full human potential.

Since 1999, UNICEF and its partners have eliminated MNT in 35 countries—15 between 2010 and 2014, the years of Kiwanis’ involvement. Six countries have eliminated MNT in the last 14 months. Let’s keep the momentum going and give hope to families in the 24 countries where MNT remains a threat.

Get involved. Inspire others. Make a donation. This is your club’s chance to help protect millions of lives—and help the Kiwanis family make history.
